NRP (National Reference Points)

[Missing text /printversion/printerfriendlylink for EN]
The NRP (National Reference Point) is the first point of contact for information on the vocational education and training system in Norway and other European countries.

Who is NRP made for?
NRP is primarily intended for employers and job-placement managers but also for individuals seeking information on their own. This website provides information about the Norwegian education system, the competence the vocational training courses give, and about documents that facilitate moving from one country to another.

NRP in Europe
Similar national reference points are found in every member state of the EU and EEA and they are networked. The network makes it very easy to quickly acquire information about vocational training in Europe.

Upper Secondary education
The aim is that you will be able to quickly and easily find information about all vocational education and training through NRP. We have initially focused on the basic training and education that is provided within the upper secondary school system.

  • Education in Norway

The public education system in Norway comprises compulsory school (primary and lower secondary school), upper secondary education and tertiary education.
  • Recognition of Foreign Education

EU/EES have developed tools common to all member states which aim at increasing transparency in the individual's qualifications and facilitating mobility between the states. See the Europass documents on theese pages.
